Sri Gari Srinivasa Rao Garu
President of APHA, Entrepreneur, Vizianagaram
Born on August 21, 1968, as the second of four children to Sri Gari Venkataramana Patrudu Garu (Village Munsab and Post Master) and Smt. Annapurna Garu, Sri Srinivasa Rao Garu completed high school partly in Srikakulam and then Vizianagaram districts, along with early education. He pursued Intermediate, B.Com., and B.L. degrees at Maharaja College, Vizianagaram, and began practicing as a lawyer there in 1993.
Married to Geetha Garu since May 27, 1994, the couple has two sons: Sravanth (b. 1995), who is an M.S. graduate currently working in the US, and Saaket (b. 2003), who is aspiring for higher studies after completing his B.Tech.
Sri Srinivasa Rao Garu and Smt. Geetha Garu founded Maruthi Lodge in 2003, started Maruthi Builders, and established Hotel Maruthi in 2008 (now 18th year), which includes a restaurant, lodge, and hall. He holds memberships in the Lawyers' Association (Secretary), Rotary,Teresa Club, Chamber of Commerce, and United Andhra Pradesh Hotels Association (since 2003). He served as Vice President/Secretary and has been the Vizianagaram District Hotels Association President for the last six years, significantly boosting its reputation through service.
In a major advancement of his career, Sri Srinivasa Rao Garu was recently elected as the State President of the Andhra Pradesh Hotels Association (APHA). This new state-level leadership role builds upon his impactful tenure as the President of the Vizianagaram District Hotels Association, where he is now playing a crucial role in bringing a good reputation to the State Hotels Association (APHA) by organizing many service programs, often coordinated from his base in Vizianagaram with the cooperation and coordination of all members.
